• Communication must precede of patience. If the order is reversed, you are only setting yourself up for a lot of frustration first then you blame the other person for why things didn’t work out.

• Leadership is about making people uncomfortable.
• Leadership is disappointing people at the rate people can absorb.
• What are you willing to be bad at given the priorities?
• Priorities + Strategy have to hurt your customers/stakeholder/etc in someway.

• There are two types of people in the moment of crisis:
  1. Ask what they need (this puts the burden on the person in crisis)
  2. Actually show up and do something for the other person
